Antoine Hage, CTO and Founder
A 15+ year industry veteran possessing thorough technical and business acumen, Antoine has founded several companies and managed teams of engineers and architects tasked with creating and successfully executing projects in Europe, the USA and the Middle East.
Antoine spring-boarded initial growth of KYUBE by architecting solutions for complex projects, while finalizing development of the core BRICKS™ technology, which he co-developed with Rony Saliba, to simplify the creation, management and evolution of websites and web applications.
A driven entrepreneur, Antoine helped establish "First Tuesday" in the Middle East. "First Tuesday" enabled fledgling IT ventures to accelerate their growth by allowing their management to network with groups of investors, entrepreneurs and net players.
Antoine speaks French, English and Arabic, and holds a C.M. in Object Oriented and Security from UC and an M.S. in Computer Science from LAU.
Maroun Tabet, COO
Maroun is KYBUE’s COO and has vast international experience. In 1998, he co-founded and managed Sophis Asia K.K. The Sophis Group is the leader in Equity derivatives systems and a primary player in Asset Management and Convertible Pricing online tools. Maroun was the General Manager of Sophis France (HQ of Sophis Group) where he reported directly to the Chairman and founder of the Sophis Group. He reached shareholder level due to outstanding performance of the territories under his management.
Maroud served as Sales Manager of Murex Asia where he was the first expatriate of Murex, the worldwide leader in front to back cross assets systems. He recently provided business development for Prima Solutions in Asia, a company that specializes in SOA frameworks for the insurance industry. Key accomplishments included forming strategic alliances with NTTDATA, Unisys Japan and other major players in Japan.
Maroun holds an MBA from IMD Lausanne and an IT Engineering from ESIB Lebanon with over a decade in business development and operations management in Europe and Asia.
Dr. Walid Keirouz, VP R&D
Walid has 20+ years of R&D experience in academia and industry (Schlumberger, US National Institute of Standards and Technology, University of Washington in Seattle). He has a proven track record of developing innovative solutions, is published in refereed journals, and is a co-owner of two issued patents.
In 2000, Walid co-founded a web-oriented startup company with Antoine Hage. He also co-authored the core BRICKS technology with Antoine Hage.
Walid holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ashesh (Alex) C. Shah, VP Corporate Development
Alex has over 15+ years of industry experience founding and managing technology and Internet start-ups from birth through IPO, and has held positions ranging from CEO and VP Business Development to VP Worldwide Sales and VP of Product Management / R&D / CTO.
The companies have ranged in scope from client/server consulting and wireless network infrastructure software development to supercomputing hardware design and Prospero, a top 10 ASP for publishers supporting 30 million users. The companies have had operations and development in Europe, Asia, South America and the US.
Most recently, Alex served as a founder, patent holder and member of the management team of Black Duck Software, where he raised over $25 million from Flagship, Fidelity, Intel, SAP, and General Catalyst; PLEJ, now owned by Inc. 500’s number one company, Little & Co., and initially backed by Draper Fisher; and Wallaware, whose clients and partners included Vodaphone, CellOne, Telenor, Reuters, ESPN and Telefonicia.
Additional venture-backed companies that Alex has worked with include: PLEJ, Black Duck Software, Delphi, Prospero, Vantage Technologies, Wallaware, I-Cube, Razorfish, Integrated Computing Engines (ICE), Cambridge Technologies, and OEC. Alex has also worked for IBM and the US government where he held top-secret and special clearances.
Alex has filed seven patents, helped to raise over $150M, and has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences. He completed his college level computer science courses at the age of 13, and holds a degree in Political Economy from Williams College (MA).
Rony Saliba, Technology Manager
Rony is responsible for the design and development of web applications. He was intrical to the development of the core BRICKS technology, designed to simplify the creation, management and evolution of websites and web applications.
With several years of hands-on experience in web engineering, architecture and development, Rony headed the development of many U.S. and Europe-based web application projects. Clients include Stage Smart (B2B/B2C in California), Progress Online (School in France), NHK (Japanese Broadcasting Company) and Invest COM Holding.
Rony has published many articles, specifically in the field of Optimization of VLSI Synthesis for Digital Systems. He speaks French, English and Arabic, and holds a B.E degree (with distinction) in Computer Engineering from the Lebanese American University (LAU).
